Two Windows 2000 Pro systems, Peer to Peer networked using TCP/IP. SystemA has local printer, can print to printer no problem. SystemB can See the printer, and install printer, but when trying to PRINT to Printer, printjob is put in Queue but never prints. Can try to delete the print job, and it updates the status to "deleting" but never does. Basically, hanging up the Print Queue and needing a reboot to clear it.

Any suggestions?

all permissions were set to ALLOW. The strange thing is this: A) I can see the Printer from the Other computer B) I can setup the Printer as a Network Printer from the Other computer C) I can send print jobs to the Printer D) The print jobs hit the print queue on the computer hosting the local printer D) The print jobs just sit there forever with "Printing" as the status, or "Deleting" after I gave up and tried to remove them.

I had this problem a few months ago. My solution was to change how I print to the printer on the network by starting to use HP directjet card which existed on my printer instead of printing through the second machine. HP has a netprint utility which works on peer to peer networks. It seem to by pass the print spool process in microsoft and got around the problem and also reduced the load on the spool computer.

Well my Z35 LexMark printer I was using seems to be the problem. After searching LexMark they had this model listed with an optional Print Sever card.
