Hi

i have a simple question.

i read many times that kazza is unsecure peer to peer software a cause of the spyware infection.

would you please give me more details about this issue because i want to download this software but i want to understand first how it works and why it could be unsafe for my PC ?

thnks

It is true, Kazaa will install spyware on your system. In fact Kazaa will not run without the spyware. Spyware is bad because in best case scenarios, tracking cookies pop-up ads can chew up your Internet bandwidth and in worst case scenarios, it can be a trojan or keylogger. In any case it is not secure to have spyware on your system.

I'd recommend another peer-to-peer app that does not install spyware such as WinMX or Kazaa-lite.

Thank you for your answer.

would you please tell me how can i protect my pc from the spyware in general - in case that i didn't download kazaa or another peer to peer software.

and are the peer to peer softwares the only way to be infected by spayware and adware?

i read that the free software downloaded from the net can bring this spyware , and in the same time most of spyware cleaner are free !!

so you protect yourself by something can infect you pc in the same time !!

i need your advice .

thank you

One of the things you can do is download a freeware program called Ad-Aware. This is a program that finds spyware on your PC and deletes it. It's a very effecive program for me and I use it quite a bit!

Personally I like Spybot Search & Destroy. PCmag rated it highest. Higher than even Ad-Aware. Plus it is free. Goto downloads.com and search for spybot. You'll find it there.

Thank you very much for your help.
