Hello All,

Sounds like something I should know but...if deleting an email in the Outlook, should it also delete in the Blackberry? I think so.

Email reconciliation is delete on both Mailbox & handheld and on conflicts, Mailbox wins.

Yes it should.... but with a couple of caveats. I'm presuming the Pearl has been activated on a BES:

1) Was it a hard delete in Outlook (i.e. bypass the Deleted Items folder in Outlook). Unless you are running BES 4.1 with "Hard Delete Support" turned on, which it is not by default, this type of delete will not reconcile to the handheld. Even if Hard Delete Support is turned on it has some limitations.

2) Are you expecting the delete to occur immediately on the Pearl? It may take a while depending on how busy the mail server and the BES is at the time. Actions such as a delete and filing a message take a lower priority that message flow and calendar sync so it might not occur until the next scan of the mailbox.

3) The delete was carried out by a delegate or assistant so that the message moves to their Delted Items rather than the mailbox owner. The BES will not see that change.

Cheers
