Peachtree Version 13

We are getting ready to upgrade from version 13 to PCA 2005. Other than closing the current open period and backing-up the program and data file. Is there anything else we should address? We will have some open items carrying forward to the next period. Will these be effected negatively.
Thanks for any insights.
