Hi,

I'm working on retrieving data for a customer who had a server crash. I'm not very familiar with the peachtree data structure; can I just find one file like quickbooks, or is the data scattered all over in the .dat files? What extensions/filenames should I look out for?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

The actual Pervasive Btrieve files are the .dat and .ddf files. You can try running the command c:\peachw\peachw -i and try repair company. If that fails you can visit for additional repair options for Btrieve files.

So each company has a subdirectory filled with .dat files? And a .pbf file is a peachtree backup?

Yes to both.
