I have a Dell Poweredge 2450.

OS is Windows Server 2003.

I have ran the latest Dell updates cd, so all Firmware, Bios etc is up to date.

When I boot off the updates cd (after running it) it goes as far as the OS screen and then bluescreens for half a second, and then reboots on a loop.

If I boot normally or with the OS cd in (boot sequence is set to cd first) I only get as far as:

'Container #0 - Mirror 16.94gb Optimal
1 Container found
Bios installed successfully!'

The cursor then moves then two rows and it hangs at this point.

Any ideas how I can get it to boot or read the cd, so I can a repair installation?

Thanks

I would try coping the driver file like it says in the link maultier has posted. It does sound like your PERC got messed up on an update. Try replacing the driver, if that doesn't work, power the box down and try pulling the battery for the PERC for a about a min the reconnect and also reseat the other cables as well on the PERC. Then try reseating the drives as well.
