We have a PE850 nad when you place a CD in the machine it reads it fine, then you remove it and add a second CD the OS never recognizes the new CD. When you explore the drive all of the original files and data structure for the original CD is still there. You can drill down directories and even open files even though the original CD is no longer in the drive. If I pull the CD and close the CDRom with no CD it will recognize there is no CD and then I can install a different CD and read it. I confirmed there was a different file structure on the second CD.
My guess is that with all of the new management software there is some sort of cacheing going on but I do not not know where. Any ideas on how to make this machine read the CD that is inserted?
