We have a PE 2600 with a PERC4 DC raid controller and 2 RAID 1 Drives and 4 RAID 5 Drives. We also have an internal tape drive attached to the embedded SCSI controller.
We need to extend our RAID 5 Array and expand the RAID 1 capacity.
We propose to get 2 additional larger drives and replace the RAID 1 drives with them and add the current RAID 1 drives to the RAID 5 Array.
As we have filled all of our hard drive bays, would you suggest 1) a low cost external caddy for the additional drives or 2) an external caddy for the tape drive and two media bay caddies for the additional two drives?
