Is the new version free if you have the old one?

I went to Cisco and seems like it is not available for public download.

I can't imagine Cisco charging for the new release...


Can anyone shed some light on this??

The only time a software upgrade is free from Cisco is if you bought the unit within the last (I think) 90 days. To get the upgrade, you will need to go back to your vendor and work with them and Cisco.

Besides that, you would need to have a SmartNet contract on the device to obtain software upgrades.

If you have a CCO login account, you can download the PDM image for free of their site.
