I had PDM working at one point, and used it half a dozen times...

Now, whenever I start up PDM, it returns a message of:

Your PIX image has a version of unknown. This version of PDM will only interoperate with versions that start with 6.0 or 6.1. Please update your PIX image so that they are compatible.

When I do a show ver, I get:

Cisco PIX Firewall Version 6.1(3)
Cisco PIX Device Manager Version 1.1(2)

I also have the pdm locations set to allow PDM connections from my subnet.

Am I missing something?

HI.

This is strange - and seems to me like a hardware fault.
I suggest that you open a TAC case, and also prepare for worth - maybe more severe problems will come up later.

Try to look at the flash file system, using the "flashfs" command:
What do you see?
Does it look normal to you?

Are you the only administrator of the pix?
Any changes done last week?

Did you try to power cycle the pix?
If not, try it, but again - if something is wrong with the flash or OS image, it might not wake up as expected - so find the right time, and better have a spare unit or backup plan.

You can also try to reinstall the same or newer versions of both the OS and PDM. Previous notes apply here as well.

Bye
