pdm location command not available ... why ?

Hi,

I wanted to put in an external IP address so that I would be able to remotely administer a PIX box. My understanding is that I could simply enter the command

pdm location 12.X.X.X (external IP address)

and that would be it.

However, when I edit the configuration, the pdm location command is not even available. I do a pdm ? and get the applicable commands. Strangely, clear pdm location IS available. I try putting in the command anyway and it rejects is saying it is not a valid command.

I have a PIX 504E with PIX OS version 6.2(2)

HI.

The command for controling access to PDM is:

http x.x.x.x 255.255.255.255 outside

The "pdm location" command is for PDM use (not for manual editing). This command corresponds to the "hosts and networks" tab in PDM.
