Hello,

Having a few problems with the RDS schedule for Performance Data Manager. The Data extraction doesn't work.

Even in the command prompt D:\DNA_S\PMG\BIN\PDM.EXE BATCH we get an error box saying "NODE: Is not found in the current DNA Server"

Any ideas?

Hi ButtonIt,

Check the registry settings under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Ericsson/PMG/

See below...

Question: How does PDM work in BATCH mode?
Answer: Is it possible, in a multi node environment, to extract data from only a certain node? For example, in a two-node system the second node is created for future use. When PDM.EXE BATCH is scheduled, PDM is also trying to extract from node two, witch results in errors because there is no MD110 to connect to. However, it is possible to select the desired node to poll.

To select a node to poll

1 Create a key with the DNA Server machine name under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Ericsson/PMG/

Example:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Ericsson/PMG/DNA_SERVER1

2 Add the key SkipSites with the string of the nodes you want to skip separated by commas (",") under the key created in Step 1.

Example: If there are 5 nodes and only node 2 and 4 should be polled, set the registry string to 1,3,5, (end with a ",")

I've done that, but still getting the same message. I have a test switch and DNA set up with only 1 node and that does the same.

It's DNA 5.0 sp7 if that makes any difference. I'm looking through the registry to see if there's anything obvious.

Yes, you are right. I have the same problem both in Sp6 and 7.

The good news is that Ericsson is aware of the problem and is working on a resolution. I'll let you know as soon as I hear something about it.

Hi Mattias,

For some reason the PDM data extraction has been working for the last few days. I can't think of anything I have done that would cause this. Any ideas?

Hi Guys
I had a similar problem and it was When I went to run a report in PPM it ran and came out blank ie. no data but the report seemed to be running in PDM. Then I found that the date was wrong in ppm reset that & SQL through a fit synq'd PPM. Had to turn off the measurement in PDM and restart it. before it all came right If you have SQL 6.7 it does strange things at times. version 7 on seems to be ok.
hope this helps
Cheers
