PDM 301 1

I installed latest java and now PDM don't work.
Error I get is:
excetion: java.security.AccessControlExcetion: access denied(java.util.PropertyPremission java.version read)

Where is problem?

Uninstall and reinstall the java client from sun. I'm no java expert, but you could try the Java/SUN forum.

I have the exact same problem and reinstalling the client didn't work. Neither did reinstalling the pdm.bin or write erase and re-configuring the pix. Also made sure that popups weren't being blocked and IE allows java, etc....PDM worked fine until I upgraded to 6.3(4) and PDM 3.x.

I use the latest Java client with PDM 3.0(2). No problems what so ever, unless you wanna discuss poorly written device management

I don't have update for 3.0.2. Its will cost lots of money if I want that.

I had the same issue. Here's the fix - I opened a TAC case with Cisco and they provided a fix. I'll cut and paste the info. below.

"We just have notice that So far PDM is NOT compatible with Java 1.5 runtime classes. Also PDM 3.0 may not work with other versions of Java other than the 1.3.1, 1.4.0 and 1.4.1

After downgrading to Java 1.4.1. issues are generally resolved.

With recent versions of Java there is an option to disable automatic updates of Java. All you need to do for this purpose is to go to Control Panel and then select on Java Plug-in icon and then disable the option where it says automatic update.

PDM 3.0(3) have been released, it fixed my java problems!
