PDFing in black and white

I am having trouble getting my pdfs to print in color. I had to reinstall Pagemaker 7 yesterday and now it won't let me pdf in color. Yesterday it would pdf in color and now it is in black. I tried reinstalling the post script printer and distiller and that has not helped. I also tried to change some of the color functions on distiller and also when i write the post script. I would appreciate any help you could give me.

It seems to only lose color on Poptrees and also seems to lose color on Word perfect images.I don't understand why it would work yesterday and won't work now.

What on earth is a 'poptree'?

What is a 'Wordperfect image'? WP is not a program you would create images in (or from) so what are you referring to?

Generally speaking, failure of a PDF to contain colour is a matter of incorrectly choosing a B&W postscript printer when printing to file. If you choose a colour postscript and its correct PPD, you should be OK. Otherwise there must be a problem with the images themselves. In what format are these images that don't print in colour?

Poptree is like bar graphs. It is created by a program that was developed by my company. Word perfect creates graphs that are .wpg. I have tried to reinstall the printers and distiller. The settings were the same as they were when I used to pdf them and it worked then but not now.

Hi, Cleitch,

While PM has a degree of tolerance to various graphics formats, when creating a PDF (i.e. using the Postscript driver) use only TIFF or EPS files.

and

"PageMaker FAQs - You are having ANY sort of problem with JPEGs, GIFs, WMFs, BMPs, CGMs, or any other placed graphic that is not a TIF or EPS."

But why would it have worked before and won't work now. My boss uninstalled it the other day and now it won't work, but in the past it has worked just fine. Weird.
