PDFing from WP5.1

Hi!

I have an old document that was created using WP5.1. When I try to open it either in Word 2000, or WP8, the conversion messes up all the tables and stuff. The only way I can get the correct formatting is by opening it with 5.1 (I had to pull out my old 5 1/4's and re-install it and everything!) Now, what I need to do is PDF my document. So I set the Windows default printer to the PDF Writer, so when I try to print from WP5.1 using the Standard Printer, it sends it to LPT1 which is then captured by the PDF Writer, however, after spooling a bit of data, the printer times out and I don't get any output...

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can do this properly?

You may want to try taking it to WordPerfect 6.1 or 7 to see if the damage of the conversion is quite as bad. WP8 is a much bigger leap from 5.1 than 6.1 or 7 were.

Also, unless the document is incredibly large, you may be able to fairly quickly repair the conversion problems and get where you want to be. BlackburnKL
