PDF to text using Ghostscript/GSview

Using ghostscript/gsViewer to convert a PDF file to text.

The conversion is fine except that it does not convert superscript text (numbers, in most cases).

Any suggestions?

Hi eatr,

Are you saying the superscripted material is being lost, or only the superscript attribute?

If it's the latter, that's because superscripting is only a formatting issue, and converting to text necessarily removes the formatting.

What happens is that strange figures appear in lieu of the superscripted numbers or letters

Is there anyway to preserve the superscript formatting
but saving as a different format ----does ghostview have a ps or pdf to html option, for example?
