I recently saved an Illus. File as a PDF. I printed it out on my apple and it looked great. When I opened it on my office computer (PC) it looked bad and the trouble that I had spent all day fixing showed up when I printed.
I don't know why it looks fine on one and bad on the other. Same PDF.

Any ideas, the computer in the Print Dept. is a PC and they sent me a proof that had the problems in it.

Thanks

When you say it looked bad are you talking about type - is it possible that the fonts are not getting embedded when you create the PDF.

Could it be you don't have a PostScript printer on the PC? If I make, for example, a pdf from Quark with a linked Illustrator graphic, the Illustrator graphic looks awful in the pdf on screen but prints fine. I always assumed it was because the Mac has PostScript drivers. I haven't tried printing a similar file from PC to a non-PS device. Although since the point of the pdf is to be cross platform, I don't know if PostScript would really be the problem.
