We have a bunch of workstations and servers, all of which have Adobe Reader 6. Our citrix servers open pdf files with Adobe Acrobat 5. On our Windows xp machines, pdfs that are exported from Crystal Reports look and print fine (default font is Tahoma and Arial, which are very common). On some Windows 98 machines, which also have Adobe Reader 6, the pdf views fine, but prints in completely illegable symbols. On our citrix servers, with some users it prints completely weird, with just lines, etc (opens with Adobe Acrobat 5 or Reader 5.1). Reader 5.1 seems fine.

Why would this one pdf, with basic fonts, print so differently on all these workstations?

Having a related problem except with WinXP. PDFs viewed in the browser do not print correctly but look fine on screen. The formating stays in place. There just seems to be a particular font printing giberish instead of what should be there. Any suggestions would be helpful.
