PDF Printing In Landscape

I have a pdf document that I have selected to print in
portrait from Adobe Reader. The damn thing insists on coming off in landscape.

I've checked the settings for the document in Print setup and I've tried a different printer - cheking the printer characteristics.

Is there another setting somewhere?
