Hi Everybody:
I converted a Word document to PDF using Acrobat 5. Once it was in PDF format, I added links (using the chain button on the toolbar) adding some interactivity to the document. What's strange, however, is that when I associated a link to a picture (to jump to a diff view), it worked perfectly in both the full version of Acrobat and in Reader. However, when I tried to add a link to text (e.g. back to top), it works perfectly in the full version of Acrobat, but when someone views the PDF in Reader, the links do not work. What am I doing wrong? Do I have to embed the links somehow when I save it? I'm just confused as to why pictures would work and text wouldn't when they are created exactly the same way.
I also highlighted a line of text in the PDF (with the highlight tool) and that was virtually unreadable using Reader....what started as black text with a yellow highlight in the full version of Acrobat, ended up being a pink highlight with yellow text (not readable) in Reader...on another computer, the highlighted text showed up with a yellow border around the black text (readable, so ok) using Reader. I'm guessing Reader just doesn't support the highlight tool? I just don't understand why it would look different on two different computers, both using Reader?
Most of my document is also appearing blurry in Reader, which is clear in the full version of Acrobat.
Any thoughts on how to make my PDF as clear and functional as possible in both the full version of Acrobat and in Reader? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks, in advance....
