Hello

When we export to PDF in PP Web (7.3 MR1) all we get is a white screen. If in Adobe Reader I deselect the option to open PDF in browser (so opens a session of adobe reader) the pdf displays fine in the application.

Although this is fine as a work around it is not ideal.

I can only get this PP Web PDFs to open in IE on Win XP and Adobe Reader 7. However, my machine is not a standard build! Users are on Adobe 5 or 6 and Win NT/2000

Anyone else had this? I have had Cognos Support look at this but they are pretty much out of ideas!

We have a multi server environment (for failover and load balancing).

Thanks
Naveen

The only time I have seen this is when a previous session of Adobe has failed to close properly on th eclient PC.

Check in task manager that acrord32.exe isn't already running.

This can happen anytime at an export is run, including straight after a re-boot. I have also ended the acrord32.exe process but this doesn't do anything either.

hi,

did you try this?

The problem seems to be an Acrobat 6.0.0 bug, relating to URLs of 256 characters or greater:

The bug does not exist in any other version of Acrobat (earlier & later are both fine).
Correction to my statement, go from 6.0 to 6.01 or 6.02

regrads,
