pdf keeps printing in gray scale even though color picture

hi, I'm new to Illustrator (using 3).

I created a page with color graphics, print > pdf > but the image keeps coming up grayscale. I started in RGB, changed it to file > docoument color to CMYK but no change.

...double check your printer profile is correct and not converting to a grey profile, this is under the color management options in the print dialog...

...also try saving to pdf (file > save as) rather than printing to pdf...
