Does anyone have any idea about how to bring the file size of a pdf down. I'm creating simple furniture elevation drawings in 2000i and my pdf files are running about 225k to 250k. I'm using adobe distiller and my client says the files are too large. Other files I see from my clients other contractors are running about 100k or less for elevations that are very similar. Is this an adobe problem or an AutoCAD problem. it seems no matte how I adjust things in distiller i get the same large file size. Any help would be appreciated.

Sincerely,

jon

What are you adjusting in Distiller? We use Bluebeam Pushbutton, and the only way to change file size is to change the "dots per inch" setting. We usually use the minimum, 72.

I go to plot/properties/custom properties/adobe pdf settings/edit conversion settings/compression. From there I can adjust the dpi settings. though i have noticed that newer versions of AutoCAD have smaller pdf files. So since I'm running 2000i my pdf files are a lot larger than the same pdf file out of 2006.
