PDF Export : Error encountered by Crystal PageServer

CE 8.5 - Acrobat Reader 5.0 is installed on the server.

From ePortfolio ViewOnDemand report opens fine in Crystal Viewer, and can EXPORT fine to Word, Excel, RTF.

When I try to EXPORT to PDF I get the following error...

Error encountered by Crystal PageServer
The export format 'u2fpdf:0' is not supported. [On Cache/Page Server: servername.pageserver]

If I SCHEDULE the report to Acrobat format, the instance fails and I get the following error...

Error detected by export DLL: . File C:\Program Files\Crystal Decisions\Shared\Temp\procSched\SHQEIHCEDEV.report\~tmp106432498660940.rpt.

Anyone seen this before?

Hi,
I'm not sure, but for PDF( and maybe others) I think the acrobat reader needs to be on the client as well.

Acrobat Reader 5.0 is on both the server and the client.

The only thing in the Crystal Knowledge Base with my error is

...But as I stated above I don't get this error with Excel, Word or RTF --- only with PDF.

It took some fishing, but I found it...

It was an old version of the crxf_pdf.dll in the C:\WINNT\CRYSTAL directory.

For some reason there was a newer version in in the C:\WINNT\CRYSTAL\BACKUP directory.

I installed the newer DLL the C:\WINNT\CRYSTAL directory, and the PDF export now works.
