Pdf Error: Helvetica not found. Font cannot be embedded.

When I try to create a pdf from 6.5 it is unable to execute and creates the following message in a log file:

%%[ Error: invalidfont; OffendingCommand: findfont ]%%

Please let me know if you have any troubleshooting tips.

Try uninstalling Helvetica. Then reinstall it. The font may be corrupt or is not licensed to embed in PDFs.

I am no expert on PostScript but it seems that the '/_FontUOThick' line is applying a PageMaker style to a font that does not support it. Instead of applying the bold style, choose a bold font.

As jimoblak says, more than likely you have a faux bold style applied to a font that does not have a bold font. When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
