As head of an organization, I send out emails monthly to many people. The emails always include a Microsoft Word attachment. Several of the recipients have reported trouble opening the attachments at all and for others, the hebrew font used in the document was not coming through on their system . Someone suggested that instead of using word, I should create the files as .pdf files. Can someone explain why PDF would correct these problems...

when you convert you Doc file into the PDF (supposing you have the middle-east version of Adobe), the Hebrew font will be embeddid into the PDF and shown inspite on abcense on the destination computer. If you need any help about PDFs, you can ask me directly (sergekt@netvision.net.il)

regards, Serge

Thanks so much. For some reason, the option to give ppl. a vote/star is not available on this page otherwise I would give you one. Thanks for your email address. I appreciate the offer.

Where can I get the middle eastern version of Adobe? Also, will anyone else who doesn't have this version have trouble opening the files?

1. If you are in Israel - try to contact Karat (carat.co.il) - they are selling and supporting Adobe Product. Otherwise - contact WinSoft (France). What you need is probably the Distiller only, but I'm not sure because of luck of info.
2. No, they won't have troubles to open and read the documents. They will be able to print them "as image". But, probably they won't be able to search there and copy a text.

regards,
Serge

why does my distiller convert my .ps file in loop. It never ends : when conversion comes to 99%, it starts back to 1%... and on and on and on and on...
