Very odd, first off we lost the active partition bit on our PDC(2k)... So our PDC was down for 1.5 hours or so, and we dont have a backup controller as of yet. Everything was fixed and the server is back up... Name resolution is working fine to/from all pc's...
The odd thing is that when you drill down to the windows networking then to our domain workgroup, there are only 4 of 40 pcs in the group...Everything is working ine though! I checked the wins on our PDC and all the machine entries are there. This happened yesterday so I wanted to wait until this morning to see if they would come back, but nada!!!
any clues? as of right now I have no idea how to make the machines re-appear!!!
