Hi All,
I wonder if you can help.
I had to reinstall windows 2003 server on my pdc as it would not boot. This went all fine and DNS, Active dir, and DHCP was installed. Added all my user accounts back in and this is the problem i have.

I cannot write to a shared directory with all my users docs in at all.

I can view and open but i cannot write to the dirs or save the opened files.

I would be very gratefull if someone could help me with a solution to this please

Many kind regards

Dave C

Check you share and NTFS permissions on that share

If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people ask? Do they get smart just in time to ask questions?

I agree. If you had to rebuild a DC (there is no PDC), and it's the only DC, then you recreated your domain. This means the SID is different, so ACLs on your file share are incorrect.
