i have one PDC server running NT 4.0 which i want to demote it to be normal DC. and at the same time to promote one Win2k server to be the new PDC - with AD. the domain name and IP will be the same. thus, to do it i will manually create each user's account in the new PDC since i have to do it offline - with same ip & domain. (or is there any other better ways to do it?)
my question is, if i create users accounts in the new PDC will it be the same with existing user profile running in clients pc? i was told that if i create a user account on the PDC server (though with same domain name & ip), the current profiles in users pc will be invalid.
