Greetings.
I'm using Samba 3.0.24-6etch9 on two servers in separate networks, constantly connected via VPN.
LDAP is working fine, and the only problem I'm having is with roaming profiles.
The problem is: while users logging in the first network do load and save profiles as intended, users in the second network (where the BDC is) load the profile correctly, but never write to it.
That is, if they create a new item in their desktop, it never gets copied to the remote profile; if they delete an item from the desktop, and that item was in the remote profile, that item reappears after they reboot.
Remote profile gets read but never written, and this only happens in the second network: same users in the first network have no problems.
Server logs show no errors. Windows shows no errors.
