This is probably a dumb question. But what is the difference between pda's and palms. Any good websties regarding this?

Palm is one manufacture or PDA's (Personal Digital Assistants). In addition to making the device, Palm also makes their own operating system that is used by some other manufacturers such as Visor. There are also some PDA's (or at least used to be) that use a linux based operating system. The main operating system competitor to Palm is Windows Pocket PC (formerly known as Windows CE). This OS is used in the PDA's made by HP, Sony and several others. Because Palm was the first and foremost manufacturer of PDA's some people might still call them all Palm's (even though though not all are), just like some people call all transarent tape 'Scotch' tape.
