Netware 4.11 Server with XP workstations...
On my workstation suddenly I'm unable to get pconsole to run from Start Run pconsole command like I've always done. It works on everyone elses workstations but mine. Here's the error (in a DOS screen) -

'A read error occurred during an attempt to read the overlay file IBM_RUN.OVL. Program Initialization failure - Execution terminated'

I have not changed any drive mappings (Z:\public ... etc)

When I point to the pconsole file on the server (z or y), I'm able to run it fine.

I tried re-installing the client, but the error still continues.

Any thoughts? Thanks in Advance!
Myles

Hi, Myles

IBM_RUN.OVL should be in sys:public.

When you do a MAP at a DOS CMD prompt, does it show a drive mapped to that folder as a search drive (i.e. S#)? It should be in order for it to work. If it isn't then there may be a problem with your login script or you may have to add it to your search path in Windows.

In the run window, are you prefacing the pconsole command with the drive and path to sys:public (i.e. Z:.\pconsole)?

Alternatively, set up a little .bat file on your local drive, something like pcon.bat containing:

@echo off
z: (or whatever drive can point to sys:public
cd \public
pconsole
exit

and run that instead.
