We have a new Gateway laptop with Solaris 2.8 Intel installed and attempting to connect to our LAN. The two PCMCIA cards we have are:
1. 3Com Megahertz 10/100 LAN CardBus Model 3CCFE575CT
and
2. EtherLink III 10Base-T Model 3C589D-COMBO
Solaris attempted to use a driver named "pcelx" for the EtherLink card but that did not work and the man pages state that "pcelx" only works for models 3C589A, B or C.
The 3Com is our first choice but the system did not see this PCMCIA card at all. Any tips or pointers would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
