I have recently installed Red Hat 6.2 on my IBM Thinkpad (in a dual boot environment). I'm using a 3com/Megaherzts 10/100 card (model #3cxfe575bt). I've gone through all the network configurations double checked that the subnet mask, DNS, and gateway settings are all correct. I am able to PING the local host, but I am unable to PING any other host on my LAN.
When I perform an "ifconfig" I see my "eth0" and it informs me that it up. The one thing that I have noticed is that the IRQ setting for my card in Windows is at 09 and in Linux the IRQ is 03. Could this be my problem and is there a way to fix it? I tried forcing the IRQ to 09 in Linux, but it appears my card does not like the command.
Any help would be appreciated...
Thanks
