PCMCIA ETHERNET WITH BAD INTERNAL CARD

On My Toshiba Satellite the internal ethernet connection quit ( I think due to a lightning strike).
I bought a Netgear PCMCIA ethernet card and can't ping anything except the card. I have disabled the (bad) internal card. Is my only recourse to send the Toshiba in for service(2 weeks!)

you said that you can ping the new card. check the mask and or the gateway on the new pcmcia and try to ping again. Jeter@LasVegas.com
