pcl xl error on hp 4250 printer

Hey im getting this error on my hp4250 printer:

Pcl xl error
subsytem:image
error:extradata
operator:readimage
position:97

I tried reinstalling the printer on the server. also i'm using the latest pcl driver for the printer. It prints office file fine but only when i attempt to print images i get the above printout from the printer. help

Your images may be in postscript format.
Check the app you use and make sure.
Install a postscript driver for them, and use it for images. Also lower the DPI settings for a smaller file.

PCL XL errors imply that the print stream is corrupt; this may be caused by:

(a) Bad application/printer driver interface.
(b) Bad printer driver.
(c) Something between the printer driver and the print engine corrupting the stream; e.g. cables; connections; hubs, switches, JetDirect card, etc.
(d) Bad printer.

If problem is intermittent, most likely cause is (c); if so, try to eliminate the cause by substituting components, one at a time.
