We're looking for a way print to a ZPL based barcode printer using an Android device using a standard PCL5 driver.

Does anyone have any suggestions / thoughts / products?
Thx.

I assume that you already have some existing Android app with you want to continue using which prints via PCL5.

Typically off-the-shelf apps (of any kind) don't have software 'hooks' in them to allow 'conversion' from one output type to another - except possibly changing to another distinct output device altogether.

That's a tough one and I don't find any direct answers via Google.

However you might want to look at:

It implies that most Barcode printers themselves (Zebra included) typically have an emulation mode which will allow the Printer to use other 'languages'

You might try to contact the Zebra Printer vendor and ask them your question.
Or you might contact Support @ who has helped me out a time or two.

At the Zebra site there is something called: Zebra Utilities for Android
( )
Zebra Utilities enables you to print barcode labels and receipts directly to a Zebra Technologies printer via Bluetooth or WLAN.

Here's another: Zebra Printer driver
( )

Alternatively if this issue is Business Critical, then you might want to consider looking for another Printer and/or App.

Good Luck,
