Does anyone know how we can print bar code thru PCL. I need to print barcode 3 of 9. Is there a way we can send a PCL command to print code 3 of 9.
Thanks!
I am using a Lexmark T630 laser printer which supports code 3 of 9 bar code. Sending a *12345* prints exactly the same. I thought there would be some PCL code to say print code 3 of 9 for "12345" which will print "12345" in bar code format.
If the Lexmark truly has a 3of9 font built in, then you
will have to print out a typeface listing to find the
correct escape sequence to enable the font. You will have to refer to the manual to see how you get the listing.
I would enable the barcode as a secondary font and jump to it when the barcode field is to print. If necessary, you could add the *'s when you make the font switch.
As to whether or not the printer will add the *'s, I couldn't say. Check the manual, or better yet a test should be enlightening.
mansi - probably not. the 3 0f 9 bar code font is probably not an internal font if it is an older model printer. Can you get the printer to print a pcl font list? It is usually in the test menu near print test page. If it is not on the list you will have to download it (assuming the printer supports any of these) or get a font cartridge etc.
If it is printed on the font list a symbol set ID is also usually printed. That is one of the things you need to define the font.
Hi, My problem is I want to print barcode with some text on the label which is in .pcl file. We are using dot matrix printer. How can I do this? How do we download barcode font on the dot matrix printer?
Please advise me ASAP.
