PCI Simple Communications Controller

My wife uses her computer to access the embroidery function of her sewing machine via serial cable. When we first connected this cable it ran fin. Now we get the error message that we need to install "PCI Simple Communications Controller".

I just saw this same message on a new PC install. It is hardware on the PC. Find your mobo setup disk and re-install the driver.
