Hello all,

i'm new to this forum here! :D but anyways
i have a prob with a PCI IDE card i just bought, i had a few extra hard drives and i bought 2 WD 40GB 7200rpm HDDs the other day, so i went out and bought a PCI IDE Card, put it in, did all the stuffs for it, and a few weird things.
1. the HDDs and the PCI card show up in the Device maniger
2. the HDDs and the PCI card show up in the PCI card bios
3. in Disk manage, the hard drives have a black line insted of blue, also says they are unallocated.
4. they don't show up in my computer for me to store stuff on them

what does unallocated mean? and also the company that makes the PCI card (dolphin fast) do'nt have any drivers for XP becuase they said that they are already in windows XP.

heres my system setup.
1900+ AMDxp
512MB PC2100
Leadtek WinFast K7NCR18D-Pro
Geforce 4 MX440 64mb
fujitsu 6.1GB 5400rpm
WDC 2.0gb 5400rpm
WDC 40.0gb 7200rpm
WDC 40.0gb 7200rpm
WDC 80.0gb 7200rpm (comming back from WDC for repairs)
windows XP pro
CenDyne 48x24x48

anyone got any ideas on what i can do? i'm so lost on what to do about this

did you partition and format these drives? If not then that would be why they don't work right. If you're going through Hell...keep going... (Winston Churchill)
