I have installed a PCI Firewire Card to my Dell Demension Computer running XP Pro. and it locks up. The same thing happened to a friend with similar system and his monitor would not come on. The solution (for now -- unless some can help) is I remove the card and the system boots up and my friend's monitor works after removing the card. Called Dell and they said the problem was with the card. Called the Dist. of the card and they sent me a Tech Report which I am unable to understand since I am new to the Tech World. Can anyone help?
