I have a static IP on a Linksys router. I have forwarded the ports to the local PC IP and turned off the firewall in XP but still unable to connect remotly or even from another PC on the local LAN. I have also instled PCAnywhere on a Win2K PC which is also on the same static IP and has it's own static IP on local PC and have forwarded the ports on the routerto the PC IP and have no problem connecting.

Are there any other settings in WinXP Home SP2 that I am missing that are keeping me from connecting to the host?

What ports have you fowarded?

Have you checked remote settings in system properties?
