Pcanywhere vs Screensaver

There is an installed screensaver on the host machine that you have to hit exit to end. This is blocking pcanywhere. I have the pcanywhere settings set to disable active desktop but it doesn't have any effect on these types. Is there a fix or work-around?

A couple of suggestions.

1) Don't use that screensaver on the host.
2) Been awhile since I used pcanywhere, but as I recalled there was a menu choice at the top of the screen that allowed for a software equivalent of pressing a key which should cause the screensaver to exit.
