It was working fine last week. The modem is setup properly, but pcAnywhere wont answer the call once it hits the modem. It just rings and rings. I have reinstalled the modem and drivers, but no luck. Rebooted the server and no luck. Any suggestions?

Is it setup to wait for anyone? Is your name still in the user list on the host machine?

What user list are you refering to on the host machine? Is this list within pcAnywhere or the list of users under control panel within the OS? I am logged in/on as administrator.

Do you see the pcAnywhere host waiting for a connection in the toolbar?

on the host machine go into host part of pcany where, go to the properties of the connection that you are launching, and go to the callers tab, also make sure the encryption level matches yours.

Its not even getting to the encryption level, as its not answering the modem, indicating that the host is not listening.

Have you tried setting the modem to auto answer through hyper terminal?
