Hi,

I am looking into ways of automatically downloading files form a machine only accessible through pcAnywhere. Does anyone know if this can be done through something like a vbscript?

Thanks!

can it be done via pcanywhere? i.e. can you log onto the machine using pcanywhere and via the GUI transfer files to the location you want?

Hi, PeterNeve

You can set up the a PC Anywhere remote entry to automatically connect to the host, log in and automatically download a file or set of files to the remote machine upon connection (see the automated tasks tab in the remote connection properties).

By putting the remote connection item in the startup folder or by making it into a shortcut you can initiate it at login or as a scheduled task (I haven't acutally done the latter but it should work, he said optimistically) or start it from a script.

So I think what you want to do can be accomplished by setting up a special purpose remote connection item appropriately configured.
