I am using pcAnywhere v11 and want to be able to connect to my office pc (WinXP pro) and transfer files to my home pc (WinXP Pro) from a mapped drive (F: = \\server1\data) on my windows 2003 file server. This all works fine as long as I log into the office pc first. If I just connect and launch file transfer then I get a network share not found error when I try to browse to the F: drive.

Is there a way to get to the F: drive in File transfer without logging into the Windows XP office pc?

Thanks

Try pinging your office pc from home before you log onto it, and see if you get a response. If you do, try entering \\server1 in the Run box, and see if you get a window with all the shares on your office pc.

If not, post errors.
