PCAnywhere/AD user lockout with 1 attempt to attach.

We are using PCAnywhere 10.5.1 to attach to Windows 2000 servers (where RDP doesn't want to work for us). We are authenicating to AD, but when we try to connect, if there is a typo, we lockout even though we have a 3 attempt lockout threshold set in AD. I'm assuming that PCAnywhere attempts to authenicate more than once, but I haven't been able to determine where a setting to change that might be (or whether it exists). This is a large company (~4500 users) so the security group won't allow me to change the lockout threshold. Any ideas on how to fix this problem on the local machines?

Thanks
