pc2700 ddr dilemma

Can you use ddr from two different manufacturers. I bought a samsung ddr pc2700 and a Cruical ddr pc2700 but the crucial is double sided and the samsung is single sided. i'm worried about using them of the same board will damage them and the board

It will not damage the motherboard to install both ,nor the memory chips .
You will not though have the possibility to run them on a nforce motherboard as dual-ddr , this demands identical chips .
install and do a memory test.
Memtest86 is good.
