Hello, I recently got a problem with my PC and I'm looking for some help with it. If I turn off my PC, and then turn it back on, my monitor is still blank, with the light amber. On the keyboard, all the LEDs are lit. No sound seems to come from the speakers or from the internal speakers. The computer is definately on, however. I have tried removing the memory (512MB SDRAM) and turning on the computer, and nothing different happened. The specs of my computer are as follows...

Intel Pentium 4 2.0ghz
ECS P4S5A Motherboard
NVidia GeForce4 Ti4600 128MB
1x 512MB SDRAM
Sound Blaster Live! 5.1

Help greatly appreciated. :)

Hi,

A couple of questions to begin with.
Did you change any hardware config lately?
Sounds like that there is somthing wrong with the motherboard, but first try a different monitor and remove any periferals and new hardware and try to boot again.

See if that works

Try removing and reseating all the connections especially the main power cord to motherboard, video card and memory.
Also could be the first indications of your power supply is failing.

If the lights of the keyboard stay on, then the CPU does not execute the BIOS.
Did you try removing the battery? This would let the BIOS start in a safe mode.
I had this with my ECS motherboard, and the battery trick did it.
