PC Tools AV problem

I have been running PC Tools AV. For some reason, I can no longer access it. The icon shows in the lower right corner. But the only options that are available are "Show" and "Quick Start Guide". When I submit show, the AV screen does appear. But if I try accessing any of the links, I get a beeping sound.

I emailed support about this days ago without a response. I am not sure whether to try to uninstall then reinstall. I am concerned that if I do I could possibly be charged again? I of course still have the registration info. And too, I don't know if this is the solution anyway.

There are many better virus scanners that are even free.

Thanks. If this doesn't work out, I will go with one of those. I just bought the think 6 weeks ago. Sort of a principle here. After two days they did get back with a reply. That a technician is working on it.
